The DeSales Fund

The need for financial aid is a reality for the vast majority of our students. In fact, every year, 97% of our students require some form of scholarship or aid. These critical dollars are provided by DeSales University alumni, parents, friends, local parishioners and community members, as well as local, regional and national foundations and corporations.

It takes a very large and generous community to sustain and grow a vibrant scholarship and financial aid program. Your gift, whether large or small, directly impacts our students and can transform their lives.

Make A Gift

"All the good we do, we do for love of God" ~ St. Francis de Sales

Today's student becomes tomorrow's alum. Their success tomorrow depends on their success today. You're giving is important. It's a resource for our students, allowing them to attend and receive a DeSales education.

Your gifts allow the university to continue to provide a top quality, value centered education, while keeping it affordable.

“Hello, my name is Ariel, I'm a 2014 graduate of DeSales University majoring in marketing and international business.”

“At Olympus, I'm an associate product manager for the respiratory marketing team, and I manage the endoscopic devices that are used with

our bronchoscopes diagnostically and therapeutically. I get to touch people everyday by having the ability to talk to customers about their practice, and making sure they have the best tools for their patients.”

“My parents were very supportive of me, they brought me to soccer practice, Girl Scouts, clubs, theatre, but financially weren't able to provide in that area. The financial aid allowed me to achieve my dreams, becoming a business major and landing in marketing and international business, to help save the world.”

“Hi, my name is Frank McBride, I'm a 1992 graduated with a BS in accounting. I currently work as a financial director for a financial services company in the King Of Prussia area. I do corporate financial reporting for them, and I've actually had my entire career with them since my graduation. Two weeks after graduating from DeSales, I started with FIS.”

I grew up in a family in Northeast Philadelphia — father was a mailman, so a blue-collar background, and I had two brothers and sisters. Without doing some kind of financial aid package, we probably wouldn't have been able to go to a private school, so DeSales was one of the top picks.”

Alumni from years-, but also from decades-past, still feel the power of their financial aid and scholarship.

“I give back to DeSales because I want determined students to have this chance that I did. If you have the heart and determination, finances shouldn't be the thing that stops you from succeeding.”

“Without the support, and the financial aid, and just the the giving culture that DeSales has, you know, I wouldn't have been able to come, so I absolutely want to do that for the next generation. It makes me feel very good to be able to do what I can every year.”

“If DeSales didn't give me financial aid, I wouldn't be where I am today.”

Some examples of what your dollars do:

$100 might purchase one player's uniform, or that same $100 allows the theater to purchase one costume for a theater performer.

The Biology Department can purchase a human skull kit for around $140.

For $1200, the library can add to its laptop collection for students to use for study, or for project purposes.

But the biggest example of the power of your gift is in the form of direct student aid. A full 97% of our students receive some form of aid. Student financial aid and scholarship can start at $500, but can also go as high as $10-, $15-, or $20,000 or more.

We thank you for everything you do for our students, and now let them thank you themselves.

“Thank you for helping me achieve my dreams.”

“Thank you for giving me this opportunity

“Thank you for your generosity, and believing in me.”

“Thank you.”

“Thank you.”

“Thank you.”

“Thank you so much.”

“Thank you so much.”

“Thank you for everything you do.”
