Federal Agents, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Among Speakers at DeSales University’s Third Homeland Security Conference

DeSales University’s Center for Homeland Security is bringing together leading experts in the field for its third Homeland Security Conference.

The conference will be held on Wednesday, February 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the DeSales University Center. This year’s theme is Getting Ahead of Critical Challenges in Homeland Security, and topics include the limits of transnational terrorism and strategies to counter domestic political violence.

Special guests include:

  • Bill Walker, Special Agent in Charge, Homeland Security Investigations Philadelphia (9:40 a.m. - 10:20 a.m.)
  • Danielle Outlaw, Philadelphia Police Commissioner (10:20 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.)
  • Brian M. Jenkins, The Rand Corporation (11:15 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.)
  • Barak Mendelsohn, professor of political science, Haverford College (12:05 p.m. - 12:45 p.m.)
  • Jacqueline Maguire, Special Agent in Charge, FBI Philadelphia Field Office (1:45 p.m. - 2:25 p.m.)
