The campus community is honoring Black History Month with a full slate of events during the month of February. 

Here’s a list of what’s happening: 

“Keep Going” with Andre ‘Wyze’ Davis
A student empowerment, success, and growth discussion
Wednesday, February 3, at 6:00 p.m. in the DeSales University Center
Hosted by the Black Student Union and the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership. 

Black History Movie Series
Friday, February 5, and Friday, February 19, at 8:00 p.m.
Hosted by the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership.

“Athlete Activism in the Era of Black Lives Matter”
Featuring Dr. Lauren Brown, associate professor of sport management
Tuesday, February 16, at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom
Hosted by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. 

“Dr. King’s Dream: Many Faiths, One Mission”
Interfaith discussion with Father Dan Lannen, OSFS, University chaplain, and Father Kevin Nadolski, OSFS, vice president for mission  
Monday, February 22, at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom
Hosted by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Center for Faith and Justice-Campus Ministry. 

“Turn on Your Light” with Author and Poet Seneca Wilson
A night of spoken word poetry and empowerment
Tuesday, February 23, at 8:00 p.m. via Zoom

“Inclusive Excellence Tour”
Black History Month Keynote with Dr. Damon Williams
Thursday, February 25, at 5:00 p.m. via Zoom
A campus-wide lecture for all students, faculty, and staff.
