DeSales Ranks 59th on U.S. News & World Report List of Best Colleges

DeSales University ranked 59th among the best regional universities in the north on the 2020 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges list. DeSales’ other 2020 rankings include:

  • 36th in the north as a best value school, up from 43rd in 2019
  • 33rd in the north as a best college for veterans
  • Named to the list of A+ schools for B students.

The 2020 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings rank the academic excellence of colleges and universities on up to 15 measures of academic quality. The rankings emphasize student outcomes—including graduation and retention rates—which are indicators of how well a school supports the academic and financial success of its students. Best value rankings take into account a school's academic quality and net cost of attendance.

DeSales shares its 59th position with CUNY-Brooklyn College (NY), Notre Dame of Maryland University (MD), and St. Joseph’s College of New York (NY).

Within the rankings (Regional North):

  • DSU outperformed 16 higher ranked universities on average first-year student retention rate.
  • DSU outperformed 29 higher ranked universities on the actual graduation rate.
  • DSU outperformed 17 higher ranked universities on average alumni giving rate.
