Patricia Idoko's research interests center on inter-religious dialogue between Christians and Muslims, Islam, Religious Education, Religious Conflict, and Religion and Psychology. Her Ph.D. dissertation explored how religious education textbooks could be used as a tool to promote integration in high schools in Nigeria. She believes that religious education textbooks could be used to form students to respect diverse religious beliefs and practices that would promote dialogue in a pluralistic religious context.

Before coming to DeSales University, Dr. Idoko taught Islam and Christian Theology at the University of Notre Dame as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. She obtained her Ph.D. in World Religions World Church and her Master of Theological Studies (MTS) at the University of Notre Dame. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Ohio Dominican University, Columbus, Ohio.
