Fr. John Extejt , OSFS, MS, MAT

Fr. Extejt is an instructor of mathematics. Prior to joining the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at DeSales, he earned an MAT from Bowling Green State University, an M.Div. from St. Michael’s College (Toronto), an MS from Purdue University, and a BS from S.U.N.Y at Buffalo. Father is also a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo, Ohio.

Fr. Extejt’s interests include teacher education, the use of technology in education, and on-line education.

After 36 years of secondary education (4 as a student and 32 as a teacher), Fr. Extejt joined the DeSales faculty in 2015. His high school years were spent teaching (mathematics), coaching (cross country and track), and administrative work.

Fr. Extejt has been an Oblate priest for over 30 years. He serves DeSales and the Allentown Diocese as a member of the Oblates’ Toledo-Detroit Province. On weekends you will find him assisting at area parishes. 

Outside of the University, Fr. Extejt follows college football and professional baseball, mainly the Detroit Tigers.
