Dr. Danielle Kearns-Sixsmith is the program director for field experiences for students seeking Pennsylvania Department of Education teaching certification. She is also an assistant professor of education at DeSales University.

Originally from Long Island, NY, her degrees include an Associate degree from Nassau Community College in NY, a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Rutgers University - New Brunswick, NJ, a Master of Science degree in Secondary Science Education from Queens College in NY, a second Master of Science degree in School Administration & Supervision from Long Island University, and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. She holds permanent state-issued teaching certifications in 7-12 education; Biology, Chemistry, and General Sciences as well as a School District Administrator license.

She spent most of her early career in STEM education at the Dolan DNA Learning Center of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and has worked over 25 years in and out of formal and informal educational learning agencies and higher ed institutes. She has worked internationally and nationally for various agencies and associations by providing conferences and workshops. She has been involved with private and public grant awards that have innovated how people learn.
