Salesian Insights

As part of the "Noontime Nuggets" series, the Salesian Center for Faith & Culture offers an ongoing seminar about the Salesian approach to life.  To be held monthly (four times per semester), each seminar is directed by one of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales who lives and works at DSU.  These meetings take place in the University Center, so that participants may enjoy a bit of learning along with their lunch.

The objectives of this Salesian seminar for employees are:

  • ♦  to present seminal insights into the Salesian tradition
  • ♦  to provide practical approaches for incorporating Salesian spirituality in everyday life
  • ♦  to encounter Oblates and others whose story offers living examples of the Salesian life
  • ♦  to build community among the workforce at DSU

The typical program schedule is:

  • 12:00 pm  -  gathering  (participants bring their own lunch)
  • 12:15 pm  -  presentation of the Salesian insight
  • 12:30 pm  -  open discussion on how this applies to life in the 21st centure
