DeSales University has been named a Military Friendly® school for the second year in a row. The University is one of 1,273 Military Friendly Schools named by Victory Media for 2017.
“I think it says something to the veteran population that is searching for an institution,” says Joann E. Haws, assistant dean of lifelong learning at DeSales.
Victory Media used public data from federal agencies, input from veteran employees or students, and survey data from participating institutions to compile its list. Schools were also evaluated on a number of criteria, including student veteran retention, job placement, and loan repayment.
“There are a number of criteria that they look for and that says something to the way the veteran population is treated at the institution,” says Haws.
Victory Media is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business. Founded in 2001, it connects the military community to civilian employment as well as educational and entrepreneurial opportunities.
