On Tuesday, October 22, the Arriflex Corporation brought their flagship video camera to campus – The Arriflex Alexa XT Plus. This is the same camera that was used to shoot most of television’s dramatic series like “Person of Interest”, “Blue Bloods” and the latest James Bond movie “Skyfall.” The TV/Film Department shot a new promo for the web using this $200,000 plus camera package. No other film school/college/ or university in the country makes this same camera available to students. The TV 395 Motion Picture Production, TV450 Cinematography, and TV371 Sound Techniques classes were involved in the production in addition to a 1963 Corvette Stingray convertible and a 2000 Corvette convertible. Behind the scenes footage was shot with our Glidecam mounted Canon EOS C100 and DJI Phantom Quad Copter and GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition.
