Dr. Riola is the director of the MSIS program and an assistant professor of computer science at DeSales University.  She earned a Ph.D. from Northcentral University, an M.S.I.S. from DeSales University and a B.S. degree from Bloomsburg University.

Before coming to DeSales, Dr. Riola spent 15 years at Lehigh Carbon Community College, where she held several important administrative responsibilities. Before Dr. Riola’s career in higher education she enjoyed extensive experience in industry with companies such as Ingersoll-Rand, Bethlehem Steel, Mack Trucks and Rodale Press.

Dr. Riola’s teaching and research interests include data communications, networking, database, digital forensics, and cyber security.

Dr. Riola resides in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania and is a devoted mom to her twin adult sons, Alexander and Nicholas.
