Michelle Bolger, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Criminal Justice Program
Dr. Michelle (Coyne) Bolger received her Ph.D. in 2015 from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to graduate school, Dr. Bolger worked as a case manager at a men's community residential facility outside of Cincinnati. Her recent publications and general research interests stem from the life-course and developmental criminology perspectives, focusing on early identification of problem behavior and predicting criminal outcomes across time. She has recently conducted local research in the Lehigh Valley on resident fear of crime and satisfaction with the police and hopes to continue replicating this research in other jurisdictions. Dr. Bolger teaches criminology and research methods at both the undergraduate and graduate levels along with introductory criminal justice courses and community corrections.
