Amanda Jenkinson is an Instructor of Nursing in the Department of Nursing & Health. She has a background in a variety of patient care settings, including hospitals, home care, research, and care navigation. Her clinical experience includes oncology, hospice, and palliative care.
Amanda teaches in the traditional, accelerated, and ACCESS nursing programs in both the classroom and clinical settings. Her teaching responsibilities at DeSales University include Nursing of the Older Adult, clinical education of the undergraduate students, Senior Clinical Internship, and Health Risk Models & Research. When she is not teaching, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, watching her children’s many sporting events, running, and traveling.
Amanda is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and Sigma Theta Tau International. Her research interests include health promotion and cancer survivorship.
Amanda received her BA from the University of Rochester (psychology/health & society), BSN from Johns Hopkins University, and MS from Georgetown University. She holds a Post-Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education from Rutgers University. She is currently pursuing her PhD at Villanova University College of Nursing.
