Sound Designer and Supervisor

 Position: Sound Designer and Supervisor

Type: Full Time Exempt

Location: Division of Performing Arts/Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival

 Scope:

A full-time, 12-month staff position with shared report to the Division of Performing Arts and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival (PSF), the sound designer/supervisor will serve as the resident sound designer for all division (academic year) and PSF (summer) productions.  In addition, the sound designer/supervisor will oversee all operational maintenance of the Labuda Center sound systems. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in theatrical sound design required.

• MFA in theatrical sound design/production preferred.

• Highly advanced audio (digital and analog) skills required.

• Professional-level sound design ability and experience required.  Composition a plus, as is experience collaborating with composers.

• Advanced computer skills required.

• Attentive to opportunities to promote diversity.

• Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution.

  • Adjunct Faculty Positions in the ACCESS Program

    Share your experience and expertise with our highly motivated adult students. Adjunct faculty positions available to teach evenings and online in our ACCESS Program (bachelor's degree program for adult students). A Master's degree in the appropriate discipline and teaching experience using technology are required to teach in the following disciplines:

    • Economics
    • Healthcare Administration (economic and fiscal issues, strategic management and marketing, legal aspects, quality and outcomes management, ethics)
    • Marketing (principles, business to business, international)
    • Psychology (social psychology, psychobiology, human development, counseling psychology, research design and analysis)

  • Adjunct Faculty: Digital Art

    The Department of Mathematics/Computer Science is seeking applications for an adjunct instructor to teach course(s) in Digital Art for the 2018-2019 Academic Year. 

    Responsibilities include teaching traditional day courses at the DeSales University main campus in Center Valley, PA.

    The digital art adjunct will teach about story development, creating storyboards and animatics for introductory students.

    Additional teaching opportunities may be available for candidates with knowledge of Graphic Design (Adobe Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, and InDesign CC) and/or Web Design (HTML5 and CSS3, WordPress or Dreamweaver CC). 

    Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree and previous teaching experience is preferred.

A Master’s degree in the appropriate discipline is required;  teaching experience using technology (Angel, Blackboard, etc) preferred.
