Celebrating Black History Month in Trexler Library

Happy Black History Month to our DeSales community!

This February, Trexler Library invites you to celebrate Black History Month by exploring our curated collection dedicated to Black history, culture, and literature.

From influential works by revered Black authors such as W.E.B du Bois and Zora Neale Hurston to resources on the Civil Rights Movement and Black feminist liberation, you will find all this and more on our #ReadBlack* book display.

In collaboration with the Black Student Union, a portion of the display will feature Afro-Caribbean culture and literature, highlighting the Afro-Caribbean Carnival held on Fri, Feb 28 at 7PM in Dorothy Day.

Can’t make it to the library? Visit our online Black History Month collection to browse various genres or stop by the DUC on Tues, Feb 11 at 6PM for Multicultural Affairs’ Black History Month program to view our bookmobile. Happy Reading!
