It's our pleasure to welcome you to DeSales University, Class of 2028 and transfer students.

We are excited and honored for you to join the DeSales University community as you begin your Orientation Program.

If you have additional questions, please let us know at DSUOrientation@desales.edu and we will make sure to connect you to the right person. Welcome Bulldogs!

Hello Class of 2028 and transfer students! Our Tour of Campus playlist is made specifically for YOU. Check back soon for updates!

Get started with these important items:

  • Information Technology & Email

For Information Technology services and questions about your email, please contact the IT HelpDesk.
  • University Health Forms (Available starting May 15)

Welcome to the DeSales University Student Health Portal!

All students are required to have a health record completed by their family physician to be officially registered for classes.  All health records are confidential and only health center staff have access to them. All forms must be uploaded via the Medicat Connect Portal by August 1.

Access to the Medicat Connect Portal will be available starting on May 15.

  • Class of 2028 Course Registration & First-Year Course Survey

The Academic Success Center (ASC) is working hard over the summer to design the best schedule possible for every first-year student. There are many factors that go into schedule selection, including requirements of the major, transcripts, the FLWC questionnaire, and the evaluation of writing samples from each incoming student. As we receive AP, dual enrollment, and transfer credits, adjustments will be made to schedules as appropriate.

Please take this First-Year Course Survey, beginning Tuesday, April 16, 2024, so that we may best serve you. Your first year fall semester course schedule is based on your major field of study and the course requirements for graduation. This questionnaire must be completed no later than June 15, 2024. Late submissions will be accepted only for those students who deposit after June 15. For questions, email advising@desales.edu

Students will receive an email on or around August 7 confirming that schedules are available for viewing purposes only, along with instructions on how to find their schedule and advisor assignment. You will be able to make changes to your schedule as needed. As an incoming students, we recommend you consult with an advisor or ASC representative when making schedule changes, although this is not required.

The ASC will be hosting information sessions on Zoom through the summer. Please join us for more information. We look forward to seeing you soon!

  • Financial Aid Information

    • Apply for Parent Plus loans to cover your balance at studentaid.gov or private student loans at elmselect.com.
    • Access the Financial Aid Checklist via the Webadvisor student portal and accept/reject their Federal Direct Loan once their financial aid packages have been finalized.
    • First-time borrowers need to complete MPN and Entrance Counseling if they wish to borrow under the Federal Direct Loan program studentaid.gov.
    • Students selected for Verification will need to provide additional information before we can finalize financial aid packages.
    • Still have questions? Schedule a Zoom session with financial aid counselors! The counselors can answer questions related to the student’s College Financial Plan and provide guidance on payment and financing options.
    • Sign up for electronic loan notifications — access will be provided at a later date
  • Accessibility Services Information

If you had a 504 Plan or IEP in high school, please contact the Office of Student Accessibility to initiate the process of receiving accommodations.

We work with all students to ensure that they have equitable access to all that campus has to offer. This includes, but is not limited to such disabling conditions as:

    • learning disabilities
    • psychological/emotional disabilities
    • speech and/or hearing impairment
    • dietary needs
    • injury rehabilitation
    • mobility impairment
    • visual impairment

If you would like more information regarding disability services and potential accommodations, please contact Carolyn Tiger, 610-282-1100 x1453, or email Carolyn.Tiger@desales.edu.

    Office of Student Accessibility

  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their educational records. One of these rights is to consent to the disclosure of your record (grades, financial information, etc.).

If you would like to release your educational record to other individuals, you must grant access via Self-Service in MyDSU.  Students typically use this approval to allow parents/guardians the right to discuss your record with University officials.

If you choose to grant access to your records, you must select "User Option" on the menu on the left side of the screen, and add the name and relationship of anyone to whom you grant access.  You must create a 4-digit PIN to sharer with this individual. You may update or remove such access anytime. We will not discuss your educational or financial record with anyone unless you grant this access and they provide the PIN to the appropriate DSU office.

If you have any questions, please email registrar@desales.edu.
