Page Properties

The properties of a page can be found by clicking "Title and Properties" in the edit screen. This link is on the right side of the bar you see the "Publish" button in.

  • Page Name: The name of the page and what is used for all navigation and the main heading on the page (if not overridden).
  • Put the page... : This setting will change where the page is location in the site tree. You can also change this by dragging and dropping the page while in the full list of pages.
  • URL: The url the where the page can be found
  • Show in navigation: if this is unchecked, this page will not show up in navigation components.
  • Use this page to group other pages: if checked this will not be an actual page and will redirect to its first child page.
  • This page redirects to another page: if checked you can choose what page this one should redirect to.
  • Title for search engines: this field is used in the title bar (or browser tabs) and is typically what shows up as the link is search engine lists. (the larger blue text in Google listings)
  • Description: The description of the page. This may, but not always, but what is used as the description of you page in search engine listing.
  • Keywords: Keywords are no longer relevant to search engine results, this field can be ignored.
  • Allow site search to index this page: this will allow the page to appear in the site search results when using Sitefinity's built in search.
  • Allow external search engines to index: this allows search engines like Google and Bing to index your page. Unchecking this will not make it private.
  • Contact Row: Set the contact row information here. You will be able to choose a contact row from the Contact Row Content Type. The contact will not display if the Contact Row Component is not on the page. If you leave this field blank, this page will use it's parent page's setting.
