Natalie Cyphers is a professor in the Division of Nursing. She has a background in a variety of patient care settings, including hospitals, home care, school nursing, and faith community nursing. Her clinical experience includes pediatric nursing in both acute care and community health settings. In addition, she has clinical experience in adult orthopedic, general medical/surgical, and neonatal intensive care.
Dr. Cyphers teaches in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. Her teaching focus is on Evidence-Based Practice Research and Translational Research., She is a chair for the scholarly projects of the DNP students.
Dr. Cyphers is a member of The Society of Pediatric Nurses, Nursing of Children Network, Christian Nurses Fellowship, and Sigma Theta Tau International, Mu Omicron chapter. Her research interests include religiosity and health, trauma-informed care, secondary/vicarious trauma in nurses and nursing resilience.
Dr. Cyphers received her BSN at East Stroudsburg University and her MSN in Parent Child Nursing at the University of North Dakota. She completed her Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of North Dakota in 2015.
