DeSales University is once again being recognized for its pledge to Pennsylvania National Guard members.

The University has been named a 2022 Pennsylvania National Guard Associations Guard Friendly School. The designation recognizes colleges, universities, and trade schools that meet or exceed 10 baseline criteria to create a supportive learning environment to assist members of the Pennsylvania Guard pursuing post-secondary degrees.

“DeSales appreciates the dedication of Pennsylvania National Guard members who serve their community, state, and nation, both here and abroad,” says Joann Haws, director of veterans and military services. “We recognize that service creates challenges for those pursuing educational goals and we work to promote student success.”

DeSales was previously named to PNGAS’ inaugural list of Guard Friendly Schools in 2019. PNGAS is the only organization solely dedicated to the 19,438 members and more than 67,500 veterans of the Pennsylvania National Guard and their families.
