Congratulations to the Class of 2020 Medal Winners and the Provost’s Faculty Excellence Award Winner

Three students in the Class of 2020 and one faculty member were singled out for their spirit, maturity, and excellence. 

During the virtual conferral of degrees ceremony, Brother Daniel Wisniewski, OSFS, provost, presented the Provincial Medal of Honor, the President’s Medal, and the Provost’s Faculty Excellence Award. 

Emily Jacobson received the Provincial Medal of Honor, which is awarded to the graduate who best exemplifies the spirit of St. Francis de Sales, who as an eminent scholar, zealous apostle, and true gentleman blended perfectly a love of knowledge with a love of God.

Kayla Homan and Samantha Mullin both received the President’s Medal, which is awarded to the graduate who has attained intellectual maturity consistent with his or her talents, demonstrated by a manner of living guided by principles of Catholic teaching, and exhibited through service to the DeSales University community, loyalty and devotion to the University, and to the principles on which its philosophy is based.

Kathleen Ehrhardt, assistant professor in the physician assistant program, was awarded the Provost’s Faculty Excellence Award for excellence in service for her outstanding contributions for the good of her academic program, DeSales University in general, her professional organizations, and the wider community in which we live, work, and educate.
