For the second year in a row, the Ideas Club helped to spread holiday cheer on campus with a Christmas Tree Lighting.

This season, the club leveraged its favor with Santa and doubled down on the event—moving the lighting from outside the Gambet Center to the DeSales Mall, and making the event bigger, the tree taller, and the students jollier.

The lighting also featured customizable cookies, a chocolate fountain, music, live carols, and more. T-shirts and reusable straws were sold to help support the club and its efforts to aid the local community,

One year ago, the Ideas Club made DeSales history by hosting the first annual Christmas Tree Lighting. With a turnout of almost 200 students and faculty, last year’s lighting was one of the biggest club events, and its success founded a new campus tradition.

“I'm extremely grateful for the club members and their dedication to growing the impact made by Ideas Club,” says William Danko, club president.
