Celebrate National Library Week with Trexler Library from April 7-13, 2019! This year the theme is Libraries = Strong Communities, demonstrating the ways libraries act as the center of many communities, whether public or academic. We strive to be at the heart of our campus by providing the resources and spaces needed to research, study, and collaborate.

Here are some ways to join our celebration throughout the week:

  • Check out the National Library Week display in our lobby
  • Thank a library worker on Tuesday for National Library Workers Day
  • Follow us on social media @desales_trexler
  • Join in on social media with #MyLibraryMyStory on Thursday and share why you love your library

National Library Week began in 1958 when the American Library Association and the American Book Publishers came together to encourage the public to read more, and therefore support and use libraries more. Each April it is celebrated by libraries across the country in recognition of library staff and the services they provide their communities.
