Come celebrate National Poetry Month at the library! To honor the month, Trexler Library has an interactive display in our lobby and a poetry reading on Wednesday, April 18.

Our lobby display includes a Poet Tree – grab a leaf, write a line from your favorite poem, and add it to our tree. After adding your leaf, stop by the circulation desk to record your name and ID number to get a Character U point!

We'll also be hosting Dr. Stephen Myers and his students for a Poetry Reading on Wednesday, April 18, 12:00 – 1:00 PM in the Library's Air Products Room.

The Academy of American Poets began National Poetry Month in 1996 in order to increase awareness and appreciation of poetry in the US. Since then, it has grown to become the largest literary celebration in world.
