Discontinuation of HealthChampion App

Dear University Community:
Welcome back for the start of the spring 2021 semester. I write to remind everyone of our shared commitment to the Salesian Solidarity Pledge and to announce a change in the procedure of monitoring your daily health.
Based on the fall 2020 experience using the HealthChampion App for daily symptom monitoring, we have decided to discontinue this requirement. This change is effective immediately. The resources committed to the HealthChampion application have been reallocated to the return to campus and surveillance testing during the spring semester.
We urge you to continue to monitor your health daily in accordance with the Salesian Solidarity Pledge. Symptoms of COVID-19 include, but are not limited to: fever or chills, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, unexplained fatigue, muscle or body aches, and/or a loss of taste or smell.
Please call the DeSales COVID Line at 610-282-1002 if:
- You experience any of the aforementioned symptoms
- Test positive in the past 10 days for an active COVID-19 infection
- Have had close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19
- Traveled outside of Pennsylvania except to commute for class/work/academic requirement
