Quarantine & Isolation

Our goal is to reduce as much as possible the inflow of positive cases from the outside environment.

For suspected or confirmed cases on campus, DeSales University will follow prevailing CDC guidance for quarantine or isolation. See the most current updates

  • Isolation separates sick people with a contagious disease from people who are not sick.
  • Quarantine separates and restricts the movement of people who were exposed to a contagious disease to see if they become sick.

Note: Each time an infected or exposed community member is released from isolation or quarantine, the Executive Vice President, in consultation with the multi-agency coordination group, must approve that individual’s return to campus.
