Tim Gallagher, MD

Dr. Tim Gallagher has been lecturing on forensic science and forensic medicine for over ten years. He is a frequent guest on the Dr Oz Show, Crime Stories with Nancy Grace, The First 48 hours, Dateline NBC and America’s Most Wanted and has been an on-set consultant for various crime and forensic television programs. He has lectured for audiences in medical schools, law schools, colleges and forensic conferences throughout the United States, Western Europe, the Caribbean, Central America and China. Additionally, he is on faculty at the University of Florida Masters Degree Program in Forensic Medicine and is the Associate Director of the International Forensic Medicine Association. He has presented original forensic workshops and research projects at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the National Association of Medical Examiners annual conferences.
After completing his Masters of Health Services Administration and Medical Doctorate he completed residency training in Birmingham Alabama and was accepted as a Forensic Pathology Fellow in Miami, Florida at the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner Department. He is currently the Chief Medical Examiner for Judicial District One in Pensacola, Florida. In his service as a Medical Examiner for Judicial Districts 1, 7, 11 and 24 in the State of Florida he has attended hundreds of death scenes and testified at more than 100 courtroom homicide trials. Dr. Gallagher is currently licensed to practice medicine in the states of Florida and North Carolina.
