Jared Gordon, MFA

Assistant Professor

Jared Gordon is a screenwriter, director, editor, and producer. He is a graduate of the undergraduate film program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and the graduate screenwriting program at Hollins University.

Jared was a writer at MTV Networks and Nickelodeon. His produced work includes four feature films, numerous shorts, and two web series. His photography has been seen in the Boston Globe and USA Today. His screenplays have placed in the Austin Film Festival Screenplay and Teleplay Competition and in the Final Draft Big Break Contest. He has taught film production and screenwriting at Emerson College and Salem State University and founded Cambridge Screenwriters, the largest established screenwriting group in New England. In addition, Jared has been a screenplay judge for the NYC Midnight Competition, the Nashville Film Festival, and the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.

In addition, he likes chai tea, karaoke, and road trips. His favorite films include The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, Life is Beautiful, Big Fish, As Good as it Gets, anything Pixar or Miyazaki, and The Lord of the Rings series.
