Elizabeth Rosa, CPA


Elizabeth Rosa, professor of business, teaches Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing, Advanced Accounting, and Strategic Cost Management. Mrs. Rosa is active in advising DeSales accounting majors in career development skills such as accounting job market investigation, networking, résumé and cover letter writing, and interviewing. She is coordinator of the DeSales Semester Study Abroad Program in Rome, Italy, and has co-directed the LVAIC Summer Language Study Abroad Program in Rome since 2001.

Mrs. Rosa is a certified public accountant (CPA) and certified management accountant (CMA), and she also holds an MBA degree from Lehigh University and a BA in French from Tulane University. Prior to her teaching career, she worked as a staff accountant at the CPA firm, Berg, Schultz, and Green, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and managed art galleries in New Orleans, Louisiana, and in Rome, Italy.

She has co-authored and published five books in the specialized field of accounting communication skills: The Accountant's Guide to Professional Communication, Communication and Auditing, Communication and Management Accounting, Communication and Tax Accounting, and Launching Your Accounting Career. Mrs. Rosa's current areas of research include communication and financial reporting and Italian language for business.
