Sport Management, BS , BS to MBA , Minor

As long as there is sport, there will be sport management. How's that for job security?

In the sport management program at DeSales, we combine the institution of sport into the realm of business to prepare you for an exciting and challenging career. In this major, you'll study concepts like management and leadership, marketing and promotions, and finance and economics-all as they pertain to the world of sport.

We offer the opportunity to accelerate study in order to graduate in three and a half years, or double major and graduate in four years. You can also take advantage of our five year MBA program option.

Within the sport management major, professors place focus on practical learning through class projects, external partnerships, and an active student club. Hands-on learning will prepare you for your career and interesting coursework will provide a strong foundation in business principles.

The advice that I would give to a high school graduate that’s considering DeSales would be to take a step back and look at the big picture. It’s not about the next four years of your life. It’s about the next 40 plus of your life. To be able to utilize those four years at a university or at a college to become a better person spiritually, to become a better person personally, and ultimately to shape your path professionally, I feel like DeSales checks all three boxes and helped best prepare me for life.
