Marriage and Family Studies, BA , Minor

Overview

DeSales offers the only undergraduate marriage and family studies program of its kind among Catholic colleges and universities in the United States.

Our program provides you with more than just career preparation. You’ll gain a greater awareness of what makes us truly human, while also learning the fundamentals of becoming a loving spouse and parent in your own family.

After all, marriages and families are microcosms of life itself. Healthy and happy families tend to produce persons who are able to enjoy their own lives and to contribute meaningfully to society. Our culture, however, struggles more and more with the difficulty of sustaining lifelong commitments.

You'll have the opportunity to major or minor in marriage and family studies, or to complete a certificate program. With this background, you'll be able to work in a variety of fields, but, more importantly, you'll be able to live your life well in fulfillment of your personal and social existence.

Marriage and Family Studies at DeSalesThe DeSales program in Marriage & Family Studies offers more than career preparation — it can help you to become a loving spouse and parent in your own family.
