Data analysts and data scientists are two of the most sought after job positions in the US and abroad, with some of the highest starting salaries right out of college.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is sweeping through every sector of the economy.  AI is specialized software that performs advanced data analytics and automates tasks based on that data, such as image and voice recognition.

There are thousands of open jobs right

now - data analysts and data scientists. So

we have a business major with a tracking

data analytics, and we have a computer

science major with a track in data

science, because we need data analysts

and data science to make AI work for

businesses. We also have a university

minor for anyone wanting to learn about

AI, the way it works, how to work with

data to benefit them in their career. AI

technology can be used in just about any

field you can think of. We can add value

to businesses and organizations so

people can work better using that data.

DeSales students will learn the structures, concepts, mathematics, and computer languages of data analytics and AI. Students will learn to use the software and cloud platforms in demand in the job market, such as Tableau, SAS, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google TensorFlow.

Conduct real data analytics projects using open source datasets and data from local companies. Learn how to govern data ethically and legally, in accordance with the Christian humanism mission of the DeSales University.  Learn data analytics and how to apply AI tools in the field of your choice.
