Police Officer (2 Positions Available)

This position involves professional response to calls for assistance with the overall responsibility of protecting life and property on the University Campus.  Work involves patrolling, traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, and responding to medical emergencies with an emphasis on community policing.

Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent GED
  • Valid PA Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • PA Act 120 (Municipal Police Academy) required
  • Act 235 Certification required
  • Must maintain valid CPR/AED certification
  • Prior Law Enforcement experience preferred
  • Must be able to successfully work in stressful situations
  • Must use exceptionally good judgement
  • Must be available for all shifts, holidays and weekends
  • Subject to non-voluntary overtime
  • Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity
  • Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution
