Healthcare Simulation Specialist

Assists the didactic and clinical faculty in scheduling, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of healthcare simulation offerings.

The Healthcare Simulation Specialist (HSS) works with the Director of Healthcare Simulation (DHS) to coordinate the daily operation of the Clinical Simulation Education Center (CSEC) including standardized patient laboratories.  The CSEC consists of 5 simulation rooms equipped with high, moderate, and low level fidelity mannequins and a suite of 8 standardized patient rooms.  She/he assists the didactic and clinical faculty in scheduling, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of healthcare simulation offerings.  Functions include clinical simulation learning activities deemed necessary by all didactic and clinical faculty to attain successful achievement of student learning outcomes. Apply Now on GetHired.com

  • Adjunct: Digital Art

    The Department of Mathematics/Computer Science is seeking applications for an adjunct instructor to teach course(s) in Digital Art for the 2018-2019 Academic Year. 

    Responsibilities include teaching traditional day courses at the DeSales University main campus in Center Valley, PA.

    The digital art adjunct will teach about story development, creating storyboards and animatics for introductory students.

  • Full Time Faculty: Assistant Professor - Dance

    DeSales University’s Division of Performing Arts seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Dance. A terminal degree in Dance (M.F.A. or Ph.D.) is required. Salary is commensurate with experience, plus a strong benefits package. Appointment to begin August 2020.

    Responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester, directing concerts, serving on departmental and university committees, advising students, and developing and sustaining active artistic/research involvement. The ideal candidate will teach Dance on Camera, all levels of ballet or modern dance, and develop service learning and community outreach initiatives within the department. The ability to teach in any of the following areas is desirable: dance composition, dance pedagogy, partnering, and Bartenieff fundamentals. The ideal candidate will also support and promote diversity in the Dance Department.

    DeSales University’s Dance Department offers a BA degree in Dance with 60 majors and 3 fulltime faculty members. The department is committed to producing student choreographic work each semester in addition to faculty and professional guest artist work annually. Our practical and theoretical dance curriculum is supplemented by diverse weekly master classes with professional artists from New York, Philadelphia, and beyond. There is also opportunity for collaboration with the Theatre and TV/Film departments within the Division of Performing Arts.

  • Full Time Faculty: Assistant Professor of Biology (Microbiology)

    DeSales University’s Department of Biology invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Biology to begin August 2020. 

    The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Microbiology or closely related discipline at the time of appointment. Teaching expectations include contributing to current microbiology and medical microbiology course offerings, as well as contributing to our general biology curriculum and developing courses in area of expertise. Additionally, the candidate is expected to develop an active research program that will include undergraduate students. Applicants with expertise and research involving the human microbiome are particularly encouraged to apply. 

    The Department of Biology is housed in the Priscilla Payne Hurd Science Center, which is well-equipped for cell/tissue culture, fluorescence microscopy, small animal, molecular biology, and microbiology research. The Department of Biology recently expanded into a second building which includes additional teaching and research laboratory space. University endowment funds are available to provide support for research endeavors.
