The Sport Management major at DeSales University provides a curriculum that combines theory and practice with the wide world of sport and business. The philosophy of this major is based on the University's mission to help develop all aspects of the person: physical, intellectual, moral, social, aesthetic, and religious.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management provides the student with career and professional training in sport management within the context of a liberal arts education. The program is one of only 20 approved by the Sport Management Program Review Council (SMPRC) at the undergraduate level in the United States. The Sport Management program is also endorsed by The National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) and The North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM).
The major will focus on the conceptual, managerial, and practical skills to prepare students to become visionary leaders in various areas of the sport industry.
Our sport management faculty include Dr. Martin Brett, III, assistant professor and director of the sport management program, a 1998 alumnus of the University and he is joined by assistant professor, Dr. Daniel G. Kelly, II.

Our business curriculum is designed to accommodate those students who opt to major in two different areas of business. Most Business major core courses are completed in the student's Freshman and Sophomore years. Courses specific to their dual degrees can then be completed during the Junior and Senior years - allowing students to complete two degrees in the traditional four year period.
