Grants and Gifts

In addition to the ► Benefactors who support the operation of the Salesian Center, the following have contributed grants or gifts to the Salesian Center for the purpose of establishing particular programs:

► Baranzano Society on bioethics initiated with a $15,000 grant from the Metanexus Institute on Science & Religion (2005) supported through a $1,000 grant from the Dorothy Rider Pool Health Care Trust (2005) for the inaugural "winter ethics colloquium"

► Faith & Reason Honors Program initiated with a $75,000 grant from the Fides et Ratio Group (2001)

► John Paul II Memorial Arts & Culture Series funded through the "Althea A. Livirrie and Joseph & Rose Livirrie Endowment for Arts & Culture."

► Ruggiero Lectures on Catholic Education initiated with a $100,000 bequest from the Ruggiero family
expanded through a gift from the Wills Hall Community at DSU expanded through a gift from the Oblate Sisters of St. Francis de Sales

► Salesian Center Library initiated with gifts from Carl & Peggy Frensky in support of the general collection expanded through gifts from the Barbieri Family, in support of works related to marriage and the family

► Salesian Leadership Institute initiated and maintained through $100,000 in grants from the Frank & Jane Ryan Family Foundation supported through multiple gifts in memory of Frank & Jane Ryan

► Salesian Online Studies program pilot course initiated (2000) with a $1,375 grant from the Wilmington-Philadelphia province of the DeSales Oblates and a $1,125 grant from the International Commission on Salesian Studies expanded through a $4,000 grant from the International Commission on Salesian Studies (2001) for a faculty professional development workshop. To contribute to these programs or to initiate your own "named" program, follow this link on ► how to support us.
