DeSales University ranked 64th among regional universities in the north for 2018. The U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings were released this week ranking the academic excellence of colleges and universities on up to 15 measures of academic quality. The rankings emphasize student outcomes – including graduation and retention rates – which are indicators of how well a school supports the academic and financial success of its students.
DeSales shares its 64th position with SUNY College at Brockport (N.Y.), Fairleigh Dickinson University (N.J.), Johnson & Wales University (RI), Philadelphia University (Pa.), West Chester University (Pa.), and Western New England University (Mass.).
Within the rankings (Regional North):
- DSU outperformed 18 higher ranked universities on average first-year student retention rate.
- DSU outperformed 29 higher ranked universities on the actual graduation rate.
- DSU outperformed 17 higher ranked universities on average alumni giving rate.
