Students' Spring Break Travels

During the DeSales University Spring Break, many students are taking the time off as an opportunity to explore the United States and even the world with the help of several different departments.

The athletic department has several groups leaving Center Valley for tournaments and competitions. The baseball team is going to San Antonio, Texas, with Coach Tim Neiman. The golf team is taking a trip to Pinehurst, N.C., with Coach Jim Booros. Coach Mike Shambach is taking the lacrosse team to Greensboro, N.C., and Clearwater, Fla. The softball team is going to Tucson, Ariz., with Coach Rachel Turoscy. The men’s soccer team is heading all the way to Dublin, Ireland, with their coach George Crampton.

A group of the economic and business students are going to Turkey with Dr. Tahereh Hojjat, where they will be meet fellow business students and learn about Turkish culture. The Student Engagement and Leadership office is also taking students across the Atlantic for a trip to London.

The Center for Social Justice is sending multiple groups of students all over the United States. One group is going to New Orleans to work with the United Saints Recovery Project, and there are three different Habitat for Humanity groups traveling. Two groups are going to Lafayette and Autauga, Louisiana, and one group will be in James River State Park in Virginia.
