The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at DeSales University is proud to announce the addition of a Human Resource (HR) Management concentration to the curriculum.
“As the US and local economies emerge from the current extended slump, we believe that the demand for HR professionals will increase significantly,” says Dr. David Gilfoil, director of the MBA program. “DeSales is now poised to offer a degree that will address that demand in a meaningful way.”
In response to growing interest, HR Management concentration courses will be available beginning with the Spring session of 2011.
The MBA/HR concentration consists of four HR concentration courses, in addition to seven required MBA core courses and one capstone integrating course.
“The HR concentration will provide our students with a solid background in accounting, finance, marketing, strategy, and other core MBA areas,” says Gilfoil. “At the same time, it will provide our students with the focused training and critical thinking skills required of HR specialists who deal with human capital issues, challenges, and opportunities on a daily basis.”
