In conjunction with academic advising, career services provides students with proven strategic help so they can showcase themselves and stand out from the crowd. We start early helping you make the right major and
career choices and helping you assess your goals. Job shadowing successful alumni and area business or medical leaders, learning to network, learning to interview, and preparing the perfect resume are all part of the process.

We encourage students to take part in internships early and often. Many DeSales students participate in an average of four internships before they graduate. You might see DSU students riding alongside law enforcement and investigating crimes, managing an advertising campaign, working for a judge or senator, or interning at a “Big 4” accounting firm.
Senior Success Series
But even after all those learning experiences, getting a job and graduating are still a little scary. The Senior Success Series helps students transition to the professional world by giving hands-on lessons in major areas that cause soon-to-be-graduates anxiety like interviewing, finances, networking, how to accept job offers, and analyzing benefits packages and tax forms, and so much more.
