Ericka Esposito, DeSales Student BloggerHey! My name is Ericka Esposito and I’m a Freshman Law and Society Major here at DeSales University. I’m from a small town called Stewartsville, New Jersey. It’s really close to Phillipsburg- which most people actually know of. My family consists of my Mom, Dad, two younger sisters – Cortney and Tori – and my dog – Domino.

Some of the things I participate in here on campus include Softball, Philotheas Women’s Group, C.S. Lewis Book Club, Theology of the Body, and various service projects.

I moved onto Campus three days early and participated in the Pre-Orientation Outreach DeSales program. During this program, we engaged ourselves in various service projects which all proved to be extremely rewarding.

I met a lot of really great people here who I hope to be friends with throughout my entire college experience!

As I previously mentioned, I am going to be playing Softball here at DeSales. I have been playing since T-ball and could not imagine not playing! I also love watching baseball and my heart belongs to the New York Yankees :) My favorite player is Mark Teixeira and he is seriously my role model. I try to watch as many games as I can, however, DeSales keeps me so busy most of the time I can only see a couple innings while running on the treadmill!

Winter Carnival was great - and now I'm ready for Spring break!

Feb 29, 2012

Spring break is approaching! A well needed break for myself and also many of the other students on campus. Everyone’s been working hard in their classes and everyday activities. Valentine’s day was fun. The Student Night Life set up a chocolate fountain for students to enjoy at night. They played the movie Valentine’s Day on the big screen in McShea for students to enjoy while eating their chocolate.

DeSales winter carnival 2012SNL also helped with the winter carnival last week which was a really great time. Bumper boats, race floats, and many other fun activities were available for the students to enjoy. Many delicious carnival foods were available to the students, too. Personally, I really enjoyed the popcorn and warm pretzels. It was a really great time to spend with friends and unleash your inner “kid” !

The softball team is going to Florida for spring break this year! We are all super excited and have been working hard the entire pre-season for this opportunity. We will be playing 3 days of double-headers and have two days of practice. Then, on Friday, we plan to go into Disney and walk around Magic Kingdom for our free day. Let’s hope for the best and wish us luck!!
