To apply for transfer to DeSales University, please complete the following:

  1. The undergraduate application. You can skip both the essay (put 'transfer student' in the essay box) and the letters of recommendation.
  2. Send us your official high school transcript and official college transcript from each college you attended.
  3. Complete the Transfer Questionnaire.

Once all of your application materials arrive at DeSales, you will typically receive a decision within 3-4 weeks.

Fall Semester

            Recommended: April 1

Spring Semester

            Recommended: November 1

Nursing Applicants

            Fall Deadline: March 1

            Spring Deadline: November 1

Admissions Requirements

Minimum GPA of a 2.5 is preferred, but students with over a 2.0 GPA may be considered for admission. Certain majors have additional selection criteria: Dance, Theatre, Education, Physician Assistant, and Nursing. (See Frequently Asked Questions)

Undergraduate Scholarships Information

  • Scholarship Opportunities for Transfer Students

    DSU automatically awards merit scholarships for students with a qualifying GPA.  Award amount is based on factors such as GPA, courses completed, and credits accumulated.  DSU offers three levels of transfer scholarships:

    • Aviat I: $5000/year
    • Aviat II: $7000/year
    • Aviat III: $10000/year

    Graduated from a Catholic High School?  DSU offers a Catholic School Grant that is worth $3000/year.
