To apply for transfer to DeSales University, please complete the following:
- The undergraduate application. You can skip both the essay (put 'transfer student' in the essay box) and the letters of recommendation.
- Send us your official high school transcript and official college transcript from each college you attended.
- Complete the Transfer Questionnaire.
Once all of your application materials arrive at DeSales, you will typically receive a decision within 3-4 weeks.

- Recommended: April 1
- Absolute: August 1
Spring Semester
- Recommended: October 1
- Absolute: December 1
Nursing Applicants
- Fall Deadline: March 1
- Spring Deadline: November 1
Admissions Requirements
Minimum GPA of a 2.5 is preferred, but students with over a 2.0 GPA may be considered for admission. Certain majors have additional selection criteria: Dance, Theatre, Education, Physician Assistant, and Nursing. (See Frequently Asked Questions)
Scholarships
DeSales University automatically awards merit scholarships for students with a qualifying GPA. Award amount is based on factors such as GPA, courses completed, and credits accumulated. DSU offers three levels of transfer scholarships:
- Transfer Scholarship I – $3,500/year
- Transfer Scholarship II – $5,000/year
- Transfer Scholarship III – $8,000/year
