DeSales University Computer Science majors can earn both a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) in five years.
The combination of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a master’s degree in Information Systems is considered one of the best combination of degrees for current jobs, salary, and predicted job growth (Forbes, 2016).
The concentrations offered in the MSIS program (Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, Health Care Information Management, and Project Management) further enhance the student’s skills and marketability (Forbes, 2016).
Who may apply to the program?
DeSales Computer Science majors in their junior year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher in the major, a 3.0 overall, and internship or work experience.
DeSales University Juniors: Computer Science majors with a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher, who have completed an internship or work experience, are invited to apply for admittance to the 5-Year Program by completing the application and two letters of recommendations.
This application process is available to transfer students, as well as undergraduates who have changed their academic major to Computer Science while attending DeSales University. After completion of the application process, you will receive written notification regarding your acceptance to the program.
