Mr. Walsh is the director of the MACJ program and an instructor of computer science and criminal justice at DeSales University. Prior to joining the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at DeSales, he earned an M.A. from DeSales University in criminal justice with a concentration in digital forensics and a B.S. degree from Strayer University, where he majored in information systems with a concentration in security administration.

Mr. Walsh has more than fifteen years of experience working with computers.  He has been a police officer for ten years, and spent several years working as a detective investigating crimes involving technology and performing forensic examinations of electronic evidence.  He has attended over one thousand hours of training and holds several internationally recognized certifications. He has testified in court numerous times as an expert witness.

Mr. Walsh’s teaching and research interests include digital forensics, cyber security, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Mr. Walsh resides in Aston, PA.  He and his fiancée, Tanner, were engaged in Epcot this past February and they are planning a December wedding.
