To be considered for acceptance to the DPT program at DeSales University, each candidate must provide evidence of completion of the following prerequisite coursework in the form of official transcripts from accredited undergraduate and graduate institutions:
8 credits including laboratory experience in Chemistry
4 credits including laboratory experience in General Biology
8 credits including laboratory experience in Anatomy and Physiology
8 credits including laboratory experience in Physics
9 credits in Psychology (Intro plus any other two courses)
3 credits in Statistics
3 credits in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology, including didactic content and laboratory activities with an emphasis on the human body's response to exercise and/or assessment of fitness for physical activity
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 with a minimum GPA of 3.2 on prerequisite coursework is recommended at the time of application.
Please note that no grade below C and no more than one re-take on any prerequisite course will be accepted. Additionally, if offered acceptance, all prerequisite courses and supplemental materials indicated as conditions of acceptance must be completed no later than June 30 prior to matriculation into graduate coursework in the subsequent fall semester for the conditions of acceptance to apply.

Candidate for Accreditation is a pre-accreditation status of affiliation with the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education that indicates that the program may matriculate students in technical/professional courses and that the program is progressing toward accreditation.
