DeSales DPT Program to offer FREE Physical Therapy Clinic

by Heidi Troxell | Sep 19, 2016

The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at DeSales University along with Good Shepherd Rehabilitation will be hosting pediatric pro bono clinics this fall from October 26-December 9, 2016.   Physical therapy treatments will be provided free of charge by second year DPT students under the direct supervision of state licensed physical therapy faculty members.

Physical_TherapyThe program is seeking volunteer pediatric clients to participate in the clinic who have a neurological condition or developmental delay or disability.   It hopes to serve those that still require treatment, but have no insurance benefits, cannot afford physical therapy co-payments, or have reached the cap on the number of treatment visits permitted by their insurance carrier.

Appointments will be scheduled at either DeSales University, main campus or Good Shepherd Physical Therapy in Souderton.

  • DeSales University, Center Valley:  Wednesdays 1-4 pm October 26-December 7, 2016
  • Good Shepherd Physical Therapy: Fridays 9:30 am-12:30 pm October 28-December 9, 2016

Please note, there will be no clinics the week of Thanksgiving (November 23 & November 25).

For additional information or to register for an appointment, contact Heidi Troxell by phone at 610.282.1100, extension 1898 or via e-mail at
