Brian Kane, Ph.D.
Fr. John Harvey Chair in Moral Theology, Professor of Theology, Head of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences Division, Director of International Learning
Dr. Kane joined the faculty of DeSales University in 1992. He holds a doctoral degree from Marquette University, with a specialization in Theological Ethics.
He currently serves as head of the Division of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, as well as the Director of International Learning.
His major book publications include Just War and the Common Good: Jus ad Bellum Principles in Twentieth Century Papal Thought (International Scholars Publications, 1997) and The Blessing of Life: An Introduction to Catholic Bioethics (Lexington Books, 2011). He has also had scholarly articles published in New Blackfriars.
Dr. Kane has served on the institutional review board and the institutional ethics board for the Lehigh Valley Hospital & Health Network. He frequently gives presentations on ethical issues to various groups throughout the USA.
