The Department of
Philosophy & Theology

Consistent with the Catholic mission of DeSales University, programs in philosophy, theology, or marriage and family studies relate all that is truly human to the good news of salvation.

Faculty in the department are internationally educated and nationally known for their professional work.  In addition to being well-respected teachers, their professional work — in terms of publications, presentations, and community activities — provides a strong record of scholarship and service.  Every faculty member who teaches Theology does so in full accord with a mandatum he or she has received from the Bishop of Allentown.

Students enrolled in these programs are engaged in the intellectual pursuit of truth and the loving commitment to all that is good and beautiful. Our educational objective is to enable you to come to know what is worth knowing and to love what is worth loving in order to live a truly meaningful life.
