Accelerated BSN Program Welcomes Class of 2018
Laurie Rubio | May 24, 2017
On Thursday, May 18, 2017, DeSales welcomed the Accelerated BSN class of 2018. After an orientation, students participated in a service learning project in the Gambet Center for Business and Healthcare.
Dreams to Hope, a Christian ministry, offers hope in a tangible way. Dreams to Hope collects used soccer cleats and sends them to children in Liberia, West Africa, to provide them opportunities to participate in league sports.
The new Accelerated BSN cohort participated in this project in two ways. Students who were able contributed their own used soccer cleats to the collection. In addition, the students painted canvas tote bags that will be used to help distribute the soccer cleats to children in Monrovia, the capital of Liberia.
If you or anyone you know has used soccer cleats (any size, color, or gender), the cohort will continue to collect them in the DeSales nursing office through September.
