Natalie Cyphers is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing and Health. She has a background in a variety of patient care settings including hospitals, home care, school nursing, and faith community nursing. Her clinical experience includes pediatric nursing in both acute care and community health settings. In addition, she has clinical experience in adult orthopedic, general medical/surgical and neonatal intensive care. Currently, Dr. Cyphers is a Faith Community Nurse coordinating the Health and Wellness Ministry in her local congregation.

Dr. Cyphers teaches in the undergraduate traditional, accelerated, and ACCESS nursing programs. She is the course coordinator for Nursing Care of Children, teaching both in the classroom and in the clinical setting. She is a clinical instructor for the Community and Public Health Nursing course focusing on pediatric community settings. Dr. Cyphers' additional teaching responsibilities include teaching Creating a Healthy Lifestyle values seminar at the undergraduate level, and being a clinical preceptor for the Nursing Education Practicum at the graduate level.

Dr. Cyphers is a member of The Society of Pediatric Nurses, Nursing of Children Network, Christian Nurses Fellowship, Sigma Theta Tau International, Mu Omicron Chapter, and mentor for the Christian Medical and Dental Association. Her research interests include faith based nursing interventions and child health promotion.

Dr. Cyphers received her BSN at East Stroudsburg University and her MSN in Parent Child Nursing at the University of North Dakota.  She completed her PhD in Nursing from the University of North Dakota in 2015.
