The short film Prep Talk, co-directed by TV/Film Department professor Michael Wagner, screened at the Reading Film Festival in early November. The 8-minute, light comedy about four friends who share their ups and downs of high school during the end of their summer vacation was very well received.
For professor Wagner, the Reading Film Festival was a real pleasant surprise. “It’s a filmmakers festival,” he said. “The staff was professional and welcoming, and audience was intelligent and asked insightful questions. It’s amazing how far the festival has come in just three years.”
In addition to co-directing, he was the cinematographer and co-editor of the piece. Prep Talk will continue its run through the festival circuit.
